Privacy Policy

LeaveBye is built to know as little about you as possible. There are no accounts, no sign-in, no advertising, and we never sell your information. This policy explains what stays on your device, what leaves it to compute your estimate, and who receives it.
1. What stays on your device
Your trips, flight details, pickup addresses, preferences, reminders, and any security wait times you report are saved in your browser's local storage on your own device. We do not receive or keep a copy tied to you. Clearing your browser's site data for leavebye.com removes them.
2. What leaves your device, and why
To compute your estimate, the app sends a few fields to our server, which forwards them to the data providers below and returns the result. We use these fields only to answer that request. They are held in short-lived server memory to avoid repeat lookups and are not linked to an account, a profile, or your identity.
- Pickup address or location, to find the address and estimate the drive or transit time to the airport.
- Flight number, airline, and date, to look up the schedule, boarding time, gate, and status.
- Airport code, to look up security wait times.
- Your network address, used to suggest nearby airports and, briefly, to protect the Service from abuse (rate limiting). It is not linked to your trips.
3. Anonymous signals that help other travelers
Two small, anonymous records may be sent to improve estimates for everyone. Neither contains your name, address, flight number, device identifier, or anything that could identify you.
- A security wait report, if you choose to submit one: the airport, the lane type, the minutes you waited, and the time.
- A trip outcome, once per completed trip: the airport, how you got there, the hour of departure, how far ahead the app suggested leaving, and how the flight's actual departure compared to its schedule.
4. Analytics and cookies
We use cookieless usage analytics that count page loads and a handful of in-app events without identifying you. LeaveBye sets no tracking cookies. Local storage is used only for the on-device data described above.
5. Who receives data
Our server is hosted on Vercel. Map, route, and address lookups are provided by Google Maps Platform, under the Google Privacy Policy. Flight information comes from flight data providers such as AeroDataBox and FlightAware. Security wait times come from airports' published feeds and the anonymous reports above. When you tap a ride-hailing, parking, or airline link, you leave LeaveBye and that service's own privacy policy applies.
6. Children
LeaveBye is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
7. Your choices
You can clear everything LeaveBye stores by clearing site data for leavebye.com in your browser. Submitting a security wait report is always optional.
8. Changes
If we change what leaves your device, we will update this policy and its date, and the app will ask you to acknowledge the updated terms again.
